The brief involved connecting 3 units within a converted piano factory into 1 open-plan office space, creating a functional, inspiring & visionary workplace for the Escentric team to operate within. The design not only streamlines the work environment, but also showcases everything essential to the ESCENTRIC brand: molecular textures, liquid-shimmering finishes, and precision detail, all mixed with the strong sense of artistic vision that is so important to the brand.
Gold mirrored cladding & dichroic glass partition walls (featuring brand binary vinyl artwork) create infinite reflections throughout the space & the magical effect of being submerged in the molten liquid of an Escentric perfume bottle. Acidic green glass bathroom mosaics & bespoke, sulphur-coloured kitchen joinery become visual colour blocks that penetrate the overall dark & neutral environment, also linking back to the brand's graphic identity & product branding colours. The lighting scheme again is inspired by the brand's signature graphic motif: linear suspended pendants fill the entire ceiling, forming a visual binary rhythm with their varying lengths & housing colours.
"I initially was concerned when my builder recommended Jo @ R&P for our project at the start, as brining anyone creative into our orbit is tricky given our creative director's meticulous approach to everything and anything. I needn’t have worried though.. Jo seamlessly integrated into our team and just got it from the get go. Having a person like Jo to manage all the day to PM role, liaising with the whole GC team & suppliers on our behalf, plus playing a crucial role in the lay out and design development was invaluable to us and made the whole project manageable when it was absolutely daunting given our day job work load too.
