Launched in the midst of a National Lock-down, this bespoke retail system is the result of a collaboration with Westfield & their internal design team, who approached us in early 2019 to develop a unique pop-up kiosk system that could morph into multiple configurations.This should be able to be used for a full roster of retail clients in all of the Westfield Malls. It’s quite a challenge to design a blank canvas that will allow an array of differing retailers to make their individual stamp within the Mall. And doing so, just through making minor adaptations to the base fixture system. From hanging to folding merchandise, jewellery to candles - we had to take into consideration all and every form of retailer & their merchandise: big, little, precious, affordable, trendy or everyday. We then had to ensure it looked good enough simply on its own to stand out in a very busy shopping mall with many distractions and visual noise. Furthermore, the design had to be absolutely bulletproof to withstand the wear it would get through being freshly set up and taken down on a monthly basis.
We took this project from the initial concept, through to fully detailing for tender, and then we were asked to produce a fully comprehensive guidelines pack for Westfield’s prospective tenants in order to help them understand how this system works. More importantly, this was to provide them with the inspiration and tools needed to extract the very best from this adaptable and flexible retailer’s kit, so they could showcase their brilliant products & cleanly display their brand.
